We all do talk to ourselves and we need to take care of what we say. Listen to your internal conversations and think whether you would say the same things to a friend.
You need to be careful not to be rude and abusive to yourself… you are NO the things you often say. When you make a mistake, you are not stupid – you have a mistake… forget it and get on with life.
We all have a little “nutter” in our heads and the trick is to keep him or her under control. Start to observe what goes on in your head and stop the negatives. Laugh at how ridiculous they are. Our own internal or self talk has a huge impact on our mental health
Decide “I choose to be happy now” and say it out loud and see how that feels. When things get overwhelming, just repeat “I choose to be happy”. Said regularly that is like an invisible force shield to reduce stress and worry. This is a form of simple self hypnosis and you can and should do it every day, several times a day.
Have a wonderful Christmas and just choose to be happy.
