If you are anything like me you have been caught up in a flurry of eating and drinking for the past few weeks and next weekend it may get even more interesting so how do your food choices affect your body?
For my family, Christmas started on Sunday 17th. My son was in Adelaide for the weekend after several years in England, which is where his family still are. He returns there on Friday. So all the Cannon family went to my daughter’s house bringing lots of wonderful festive food and drink.
I cooked a turkey, my daughter prepared a wonderful range of vegies, someone else brought a whole smoked trout, and another ham. Then there were the deserts and we did have plenty of good things to drink.
It was a wonderful day with an amazing array of great food. It was served buffet style so we could choose what and how much we wanted to eat. I find the buffet style is easier because I do not want to put on weight after taking 15 kgs off this year and feeling much better for it.
I confess to eating too much but with healthy options and I came home to a pot of peppermint tea so I feel great today.
Christmas Day will be much more difficult because a different side of my family servers the dinner up and like so many of us, Mum filled me with enormous guilt if I do not clear my plate every time.
Managing Holiday excess is a challenge especially when we also want to be enjoying summer and wearing bathers. UMM…
I do have a hypnosis program for weight loss and if this is a challenge to you please either call me or just book in and start changing the way your unconscious mind thinks about food and food choices. You do have the power to change your automatic responses to food.
